VCE, Apologies and Christmas

Before I begin, I just wish to congratulate everyone who completed their VCE regardless of whether they got less than 30 or more than 99. It is an achievement to complete your VCE and good luck with your future. I wish to continue by apologising for the short post today and, probably, tomorrow. However, regular posts should resume by this Wednesday. A further announcement is that Christmas is coming up (okay, that part was not the announcement) and in recognition of that (only 9 more sleeps) all posts that are not part of segments or short will be Christmas related so get excited for that in the lead up to Christmas. On Christmas there may be a normal-sized post but chances are that it will be a short phone-written one as it is christmas and I will be busy.

You have to love the Holiday spirit. See you tomorrow.

The Worst Part of Summer

You may have realised, if you checked last night, that there was no post visible. This was, for some unknown reason, true. However, there was a post published last night it is just that, for some reason, it did not show up on my actual blog. According to my Blogger dashboard it was posted but according to my blog it was not. I am very sorry for this and will try to ensure it does not happen again although this may be difficult since I have no idea what caused this glitch in the first place. I am also glad that I only wrote a short introduction to this post so this paragraph does not seem so long. Anyway, onto the post. Well, Summer is coming around again this year just as it does every other year. With Summer comes many things including heat, humidity and Sun. However, with the season of Summer also comes another annoying phenomenon that can make you look like a wannabe interpretive dancer. I am, of course, talking about the worst part of Summer: the flies.

Flies are just so incredibly annoying and they never seem to get the damn hint that you do not want them. Every year they come back and every year will kill a few hundred before a few thousand are born to take their place. They are just so annoying and can ruin any good day. As you may have realised, I HATE flies. Yes, I intentionally capitalised hate because I wanted to empthasise how much they annoy me. Even as I write this post a pesky fly has somehow being let in by my absent-minded brother and is flying around me right now. Some days I wake up and just want to go outside armed with a belt full of fly spray and then a backpack for back up. Flies are just so damn irritating. Why can they not be like birds or some of the other insects who live their lives separately to ours? Can we not just have a few years of peace? My message to you flies is to leave us alone, or face the consequences. I hear Mortein is on special next week.

Damn you flies! See you tomorrow!

Spring is Coming

Can you believe it? Already we are in the seventh week of Term 3 and almost into September! It's crazy. Sometimes time does fly and then at other times you just wish it would hurry up. With the change in month comes a change in season as well. The best part is we can already see it coming as the weather is definitely changing. However, since it is Melbourne where we have four seasons in the one day this could just be the weather playing tricks on us. However, I like to think otherwise.

The days are getting longer and the temperature is rising. Just a few days ago I was trying to protect myself from the bitter cold. However, today and yesterday were days where I could go outside and say to myself how warm it was. Of course, it was not Australian Summer warm but it was nice enough that it was quite comfortable to walk around in shorts, a shirt and a jumper. Even the jumper was unnecessary. I know have previously stated in two other posts that I like rain. However true this may be I also like beautiful spring days and even hot summer ones are alright with me. I just like the freedom you have to do things outside. Plus, it is a whole lot more enjoyable to walk the dog on good days like this. It is also pretty easy to motivate yourself to do this because you just want to be outside. As this blog continues you are probably going to eventually hear me say that I like just about everything. So far I have covered rain, heat and warmth. Next will probably the cold whenever that comes around again and so on. So do not think I am an up-and-down person with my interests. Rather think of it as someone who likes a variety of things for that is who I am. For now though it is time for me to go and enjoy the rest of this wonderful night. Wow, that is such a cliche. I am probably just going to end up watching YouTube videos or going on Facebook. Who am I kidding, of course I am going to do those things.

Gotta love the change in weather, see you tomorrow!
