What is the point of teaser trailers other than leaving fans wanting more? Seriously, they show very few clips from minor parts of the movie and it just gets very annoying when they do not give any more. As you may expect I will be bringing in The Hunger Games (among other things) so be prepared! As I was saying, the Hunger Games are adept at this trick and make it worse by announcing a "big announcement" a week before so fans are left speculating. Sometimes it is just a picture or poster but other times they are even bigger like trailers or even exclusive songs from the soundtrack. Can someone please tell them how infuriating it is to be expecting something great and getting a picture? I mean, come on, I am totally not alone in this. #HungerGamesProblems is a real thing!
Do not even get me started on Doctor Who. First, they slowly 'leak' out quotes and sneak peeks at the 50th Anniversary Special The Day of the Doctor. They begin with a few Save-the-Date pictures, these soon turn into short teaser trailers where the only image is of the date and #SavetheDate. It gets really annoying after weeks of 'big announcements'. It was only Sunday when they finally released a trailer for the Day of the Doctor and even then it was just an 'animated' with real-life look representation of the first 50 years of Doctor Who. The only new part was Matt Smith talking about "The Day [he] has been running from all of his life. The Day of the Doctor." I guess it was a pretty cool clip though but it does get very infuriating after you wait months for answers and get next to nothing. Still, I suppose it is great advertising. Whet their appetites slowly so that by the time it comes out they will be hooked. Below is the aforementioned Day of The Doctor Teaser Trailer thing. Check it out!
It is horrible how they tease us like that, see you tomorrow!

Irresponsible Dog Owners
Can I just say that there are some really irresponsible dog owners in this world. I see examples of this everyday and sometimes I wonder if stricter rules for owning pets should be implemented. Just through walking Sandy after school I have noticed some incredibly irresponsible traits that I just wish I never have to see again. Let's just say that, at times, I can be fearful of the health and safety of some dogs. However, there are also the incredibly responsible dog owners who seem to have the happiest dogs. It just really goes to show that the better you treat a dog the more love and happiness they will give in return. After all, you only get out of this world what you put in.
I said that I see a lot of the bad behaviour of dog owners on my walks with Sandy after school and I can see examples of this behaviour even after the owners are long gone. I am of course talking about Dog poo. I am not talking about the little mines left in the grass because I mean, who has not done that at least once? I am talking about the stupid owners who let their dogs poo in the middle of the path and just keep walking. Somehow this also seems to get dragged out over metres with little droplets every few feet. It really is disgusting and it would be better even if they just pushed it over to the side of the path. Even today I was walking along a quiet path when I suddenly walked into a mine field with explosives every few centimetres. It was disgusting and if I had not of seen it I would have definitely walked right through it, I know Sandy nearly did. Another annoyance I have with dog owners is when they let their big aggressive dogs off the lead and do not watch what they are doing. Do you know how annoying it is to have Sandy (a really big sook) hiding behind your legs while a big dog is trying to get around to him. What does the owner do? Nothing. It is really annoying because I am yelling at this strange dog to move and the owner just turns around and laughs (bastard). I really felt sorry for that dog as this must be what he is treated to every day. It really made me want to get in touch with the RSPCA but I just let it go as it happens too often. So, as you can see there are some really irresponsible (and annoying) dog owners out there. Sometimes I have just had enough of the poo on the paths and the dogs chasing around my legs. It has to stop.

Distractions
Distractions are around us all the time and it isn't until we are trying to concentrate that we realise how distracting they really are. It's currently exam week at my school and so I am learning first-hand just how distracting things can be and so today I just want to talk about the different types of distractions and how to best overcome them. It is obvious that it isn't easy to avoid distractions but you can limit your exposure to them.
In our world it is no secret that there are a myriad of distractions around us. Even the tiniest things can be the most distracting. Who's ever tried studying when someone has the television on loud down the other end of the house? Who has ever tried studying while their annoying siblings put incredibly loud music on down the other end and your parents say nothing? All these things are distractions and keep us from doing what we need to. Distractions can turn a ten minute task into the slowest hour of your life. Distractions can ruin your careful planning and preparation. The worst part is when you're in a test and you're 'friend' won't stop tapping his (or her) pens on the table like he's some wannabe drummer. Do you know how hard it is to concentrate when this is going on? It's even harder just to stop yourself from walking over there and snapping all their stationary. These are all very annoying distractions and can have negative consequences on the quality of our work and our performance in stressful situations (such as tests or exams).
Distractions can be incredibly annoying but some of them can be overcome. If you're trying to study and all you can hear is the television then try and move as far away as you can, within reason, and shut the doors between you and the television. It is very important not to be able to actually see the television or you'll just end up watching it. If you can still hear the television just tell the person and if they don't listen to you then you'll just have to put up with it. The same can be said about the music except if it's your brother. Feel free to give him a whack over the head. If he's the nicest brother/person in the whole world then don't though. For test or exam situations you will most likely know before you go in who the person who does that is and so try and get a seat as far away from them as possible. Also if they are a person who likes to talk during tests and exams (I'm getting this all from the one person) then do not share a desk with them because during a VCE exam they can take your paper off you as well as that person's, even if you weren't talking because the people running the exam won't know that. So the simple thing is if you can't avoid the distraction just get as far away as possible from it within reason. Distractions really are annoying though so don't go psycho if it happens to you (unless its your brother)!
May the odds be ever in your favour (and good luck with exams), see you tomorrow!
