Weird News Tuesday: Friday Edition!
Apparently there are four chimpanzees in New York who are fighting (or rather, are been fought for) equal rights as humans. Apparently, the Nonhuman Rights Project is behind the move so that they could live out the remainder of their days in freedom. Well, the day has come. A feral "beer-guzzling" pig could get a plaque at a rest-stop in Western Australia to commemorate the pig's rather unusual life. The "infamous" [I have never heard of it] pig died two months ago and people are pushing for this plaque to be created. I knew they lived on the other side of Australia, but I never realised that people from Western Australia were that different. The "Red Dog" statue I can understand but this pig I can not. Have you heard of girl-friends trashing ex-partner's homes and belongings? What about selling them? Those things are pretty common-place these days so now some Chilean entrepreneurs have created a website on which people can sell their ex's belongings so they can "move on" with their lives. Pretty smart idea. Next we have my favourite Lady Gaga. This time her pee has been made into a perfume and, guess what, it was not Gaga's doing this time. Apparently she peed in a bin in her dressing room before an interview because she could not get to the bin. The people who she was doing the interview for did not care and instead kept her pee and turned into a perfume and kept it in a jar. No word on whether they are going to sell it but if they do, I bet some weird person is going to buy it for a lot of money just because it is Lady Gaga's pee and it is going to be worth something someday. Back to some silly things people do in America. The police donated drugs to a school. Yeah, you read that right. Some American Cops did donate Marijuana to a school. Granted, it was more of an issue of poor inventorying (that is a word) as it was found to have accidentally gone through with some of the other items they donated to the school. I suppose the police have just given up in America, drugs for all. Apparently it was important to Sky News to say that the school plans to make tomato plants out of the remaining materials. Well, that was my one question about this whole article answered. Glad they cleared that up or I could have looked like a right fool. This is an article I think that my school friends would like. Click here for the article that is full of too many puns. The article is about a cow who got its head stuck in a plastic chair. You want to know the worst part? The story for it is the longest I have read today. Apparently, a cow stuck in a chair was more important (or surprising) then police supplying drugs to students, or Chimpanzee's human rights! Come on people, we want the important things! That means more cows in chairs. Someone really should look into that market. There is a lot of weird stuff going on in our world these days.
The odd is everywhere, see you tomorrow!

Google Problems
Google Captions. Do I need to say any more? For those of you who do not know, Google captions is a feature on YouTube that basically places subtitles on videos. However, about 97% of the time, these captions are wrong. It can actually make a boring video really funny. Go on, try out my theory with one of my videos. However entertaining they are however, they are also very annoying when you want to watch something with this feature enabled as you do not have headphones and do not want to use your speakers. It is incredibly annoying how this happens so Google, just stop with the bloody captions. They just make things worse. Plus, death people probably believe everything they say. Anyway, I might actually do a post like that one day where I transcribe what the video is actually saying and then write down what Google captions thinks is going on. Over the past few months Google has been trying to integrate all their sites into using just one account. This way you do not need separate accounts for Google Drives, YouTube and Google Plus. The annoying thing here is whenever the message pops up on my YouTube telling me to change (how dare you ask me to change) and I have to click out of it because every other option sucks. If I choose to use my Google Plus account people will find out my full name and that is just not cyber safe. However, if I choose to have two separate accounts linked to the same one each time I log onto my YouTube through my phone I have to select whether to use it as Legolukey or Luke. On my Dad's iPad however I simply can not use my YouTube because it is such an old iPad that YouTube has basically given up updating their app for that format. Apple does not even let them update to iOS7. Thought that may not be such a bad thing. The point is that now I just have to get out of the box as quickly as I can and it is really annoying.
I do have many more Google problems so there may be a part two in the distant future. Do not wait around for one though because I have a horrible memory. See you tomorrow!

The Journey to 200 LATE Posts
You may not realise this but the late post has become an integral part of this blog. It has become such a weekly thing that it is more shocking when a long post comes out on one of these days. Anyway, I am very tired and very grumpy and this stupid phone keyboard is making me want to throw my phone across the room and then smash it into a million pieces which I will then burn and scatter at different locations out at sea. Oh,I am very tired so do not mess with me.
Thus ends another short post. See you tomorrow!

Just When You Thought it Was Over
Just when you thought you were free from the short late posts I proved you wrong. I know tonight was supposed to be Part 5 of my 200 posts 'celebration' but I got home too late and pretty much had to go to sleep straight away. By sleep I mean bed as obviously I am not sleep-typing this. That would be a great skill to have though and would save me time on nights like these. Anyway, is it not just so annoying when you are really tired but your body does not let you go to sleep? It just annoys me so much because by the time I finally fall asleep I am awoken a short while later by my brother (I share a room) who goes on his phone until late that night or early the next morning so then the light keeps me from falling asleep. It does make me really angry at times.
Anyway best get to sleep before this post makes even less sense, see you tomorrow!

Daily Lukey: The Journey to 200 (Part 3)
I then wrote a post about blogs before starting a new series where I went through my YouTube subscriptions to get rid of the channels I had subscribed to over the years but never actually use anymore. This went for a total of six parts where each part was posted every second day. I discussed how much I enjoyed rainy days and my reasons for it. Can I just say how two hours ago it was pouring and now you go outside to a sunny and clear-blue skies. Damn you Melbourne Weather! Anyway, after the next installment of the YouTube series I wrote a post about an emergency fire alarm that went off at Werribee Plaza and the horribly unsafe (and uncaring) response from customers and business owners alike. After another day of YouTube I wrote a post about a horrible experience I had waiting to watch Despicable Me 2 (Don't judge me). I then, after another YouTube post, discussed the wonders of blogging and why I, and so many others, find it so appealing. Another YouTube post later I wrote about how my school claims to be 'green' yet uses enough paper to save a forest. After the final YouTube subscriptions post I wrote about another experience I had with a fire alarm at a theatre (I mean, first a cinema issue, then a fire alarm issue, then both. I was cursed). I then wrote a post about free periods and what people do during them which was followed by another short post due to that stupid Science Timeline assignment. I then rejoiced when I finally found relaxation after the Science poster was completed before publishing another post a day later about that feeling of accomplishment we get when we complete something that either took a lot of time or a lot of effort. I then complained (what's new) about irresponsible dog owners leaving dog poop in the middle of the path (and they still do it). On the second last day of the month I wrote about the Social Network Population before giving my review of King Kong Live on Stage which I had just seen (and am still reeling at by the way). That was June, be sure to check back tomorrow for July. August is coming on Thursday, and the final two months (September and the start of October) on Friday.
Thank you all so much for your support over the last few months, see you tomorrow!

Random Thought Friday
Have you ever realised how stubborn some drivers can be. I know I have written previously about bad drivers but stubborn drivers are just as bad. They are so annoying when they are in the right lane (the fastest lane) yet are going slower than those in the left lane (slowest lane [meant to be without these stubborn drivers]). Then they get tooted and abused and they do not care, it really does annoy me a lot. Then you have the inconsiderate people in shopping centres who just move really slowly and there are people behind them trying to get around but they can not because these idiots are blocking the whole area. Does that ever happen to anyone else other than me? Seriously, you are in a rush and suddenly you are stuck behind these two people who just could not care less about anyone but themselves. Seriously, think of others for a change. What about the people who pretend to know everything about everything and then continually ask you all the questions. I mean, they say you are better at the complicated stuff but when it comes to the simple stuff they are better. Come on! If I am better than you at the harder stuff does that not trump the simple stuff and mean I am better than you overall. Wow, that sounded really conceited but I just had to get that out there before I burst. I know! That could be another day, ranting. I would not know what day but it could possibly be a Wednesday or something just to break up the week. I am not setting anything in stone and when I do I will slowly introduce it I think. I will still leave some days open to anything but you may have some theme on Fridays, Saturdays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (as an example). So there is still room for randomness and spontaneity but you also know what to expect the topic to be around on that day. I reckon it would make it easier for both the reader and the writer (why am I talking about myself in third person). Anyway, see how much I needed a random post? I guess, judging from what I talked about, that I also need a ranting day somewhere.
Random thoughts are just as important as other ones, see you tomorrow!

Stubborn Sandy
So today I discovered another point of inspiration from Sandy. Actually you could say I rediscovered it as he has done it many times before. The thing about Sandy is that at times he can be a bit lazy. Sometimes he gets two walks a day (these are both full hour walks mind you) when Mum and I take him at different times and within a few days he just does not want to go for another walk. Sandy is one of the only dogs that I know that does this. He is so stubborn too that you can not drag him along as he sits his bum down or stands tall and does not move. He also gives you a face full of concentration when you try to pull him. As soon as you let go however his face becomes very happy as he thinks he has won. Usually he does this as we are about to leave our front step at home. However, today he decided he would make me look like an idiot when we were crossing the road. We get to the corner and he sits like we always do. I praised him and then I started to move across the road. I put the 'I' in bold on purpose. Sandy made me look like an idiot by not moving and just sitting there. I thought at first he was just been cautious as there was a car coming even though it was a long way away. However, after five minutes of me struggling to cross the road I discovered it was just Sandy being stubborn. At one point I was holding it with two hands and it was only when I used my whole body to try and move Sandy that he, begrudgingly, began moving. I thought that would be all but no, a few stops down he does it again. It was obvious he just wanted to go home though because if you went in any direction he recognised as the way home he would move again. It was really annoying and incredibly embarrassing. Sandy is one stubborn dog.
A walk a day keeps the dog at bay (unless they are full of energy), see you tomorrow!

A Green School?
The first major amount of Paper that could be saved around the school is the bits of paper that have our school values on it of "Respect, Aspiration and Contribution". You may be thinking that a few bits of paper with those words on it is no big waste of paper but I do not think you understand the extent of it. On every board around the school there are these pieces of paper on it with one value on each in large letters. Sometimes there are even two sets on the one board or an extra bit of paper nearby that has them all on it. It would save so much paper if it was just these posters everywhere around the school, four sheets of paper would be replaced by just one in all the different locations around the school. Then there are some of the worksheets we get in class which could just have easily being done on the computer with much less effort from the teacher. Of course, some of this does happen but a majority of the time it does not. So, as you can see, our school does waste a fair bit of paper and that is not even the end of it.
We only just received a Science assignment which is the biggest waste of paper I have ever experienced. Working in groups of 3 (there are 200 students in Year 10 and all are doing the assignment) we are to make an approximately 7 metre long timeline of the evolution of plants and animals with a scale of one centimetre for every one million years. Of course, this would be alright except on top of that it has to be in A3 paper and be three rows. That is exactly what is on the task sheet. Yeah, 3 rows of A3 paper which works out to 51 sheets of paper. That is 51 sheets per group! That is the biggest waste of paper I have known so far. They are only going to display the best from each class but due to the size the possibility of even that is slim. So all these sheets of paper are going to go back to the people who made them which, in turn, will promptly end up in the bin. What a massive waste of paper! It is the worst Science assignment ever, it would make more sense to do it all electronically but no, the Science teachers had to choose the dumbest option they could find. So, as you can see, however 'green' my school claims to be, there are many areas of improvement.
Wasting paper is wasting our future, see you tomorrow!

Do people think anymore?
Another instance of people not thinking straight is when people slow down to drive past speed cameras (the ones with the police-people [trying not to be sexually vilifying] in the cars) but continue to use their phones while driving past. Sometimes I don't think people actually know the road rules regarding phones. The amount of people who drive past these types of speed cameras texting or using their phone is ridiculous and they know the speed camera is there because they slow down. I mean, come on! Leave me with some faith in the future of our world please! What is the point of slowing down if the people behind the camera are going to pull you over anyway for using your phone? Use common sense people! Don't ask me why I used this photo, I just thought it was funny and was related in a way.
So there are many things that people do that make me wonder whether they actually think. Sometimes I wonder how long humanity will last before we begin de-evolving (hey, I can make up words too) or just die out because we gradually use our minds less and less. Why not comment down below on the stupid things you see people do?
May the odds be ever in your favour, goodbye!
